John grew up in Phenix City, Alabama, and attended Chattahoochee Valley Community College where he graduated Summa Cum Laude with an Associate of Science. He then transferred to Auburn University, obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Supply Chain Management and Logistics. After undergrad, John attended Samford University, Cumberland School of Law where he received his Juris Doctorate. While in law school he interned for two summers with Chief Judge Bemon G. McBride, III, Superior Court Judge of the Chattahoochee Judicial Circuit.
After graduating from law school, John immediately began working as Staff Attorney to Arthur L. Smith, III, and Bobby G. Peters, Judges of the Superior Court, Chattahoochee Judicial Circuit. As a Staff Attorney, he gained a wide range of knowledge and experience in many areas of law including domestic, civil, and criminal law.
Following his time as Staff Attorney working for the Superior Court, John began working as an Assistant Public Defender in the Chattahoochee Judicial Circuit, Muscogee County, Georgia. He defended countless indigent individuals and gained valuable legal knowledge in the area of Criminal Defense practicing in Recorders Court and Superior Court.
John is an officer and member of the Young Lawyers Division of the Columbus Bar Association. He has substantial courtroom and trial experience and is devoted to zealously advocating for his clients.
In his free time, John enjoys reading, golfing, and sports.
