Bio

Cody was born and raised in southern Utah and moved to Georgia after joining the Army and being stationed at Ft. Benning. He is a veteran of the war in Afghanistan where he served several combat tours with 3rd Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment. After receiving an honorable discharge Cody attended Columbus State University and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Business Management. He then went on to receive his J.D. from Mercer University's Watler F. George School of Law in 2013 and is licensed to practice law in the state of Georgia. He joined Poydasheff & Sowers in July 2025 and maintains offices in Columbus where he practices domestic, corporate, business, probate, and employment and labor law.
